Next RIM gadget: Blackpad or Surfbook?
Research In Motion (RIM), manufacturer of the BlackBerry gadgets are likely to create a product that is named BlackPad tablets. This rumor was first circulated in the Wall Street Journal as saying that the BlackBerry will launch BlackPad at a conference held in San Francisco, USA. The most recent rumors say this tablet seems to not be named because RIM BlackPad register a patent called ‘SurfBook’ so that the possibility of this BlackBerry will be called SurfBook. May be RIM want to make new brand from their BlackBerry.
Artificial BlackPad made by RIM will have a 7 inch screen den embedded 1 GHz processor that equipped with dual cameras, and can be used for video chatting. In their plan, BlackPad will be manufactured by Quanta and use the Marvell ARM processor series which is not yet known for sure.
The operating system will be used BlackPad will be different from the BlackBerry operating system as long as this where BlackPad likely to use the operating system from QNX. QNX is a provider of operating systems that have been purchased by RIM in early 2010 and will create a kind of product and OS for RIM. BlackPad likely be sold at prices similar to the IPAD is 499 U.S. dollar with a version of Wi-Fi and 16 Gb memory.
